SCHOOL: Hayden isn't partial

There has been a lot of communication concerning the proposed construction of a new elementary school in the northwest area of Coeur d’Alene School District No. 271. The city of Hayden has not advocated in any way as to where the school should be built. District No. 271 will decide where to build the school. No matter where the school is built, we as a city will support the school trustees.

The city of Hayden Council and mayor have publicly stated that we hope to “one day” be able to procure the existing Hayden school building if we have the financial means to do so responsibly. Where to build the elementary school is certainly not a city of Hayden issue. This is an issue for the Board of Trustees for School District No. 271.
