SPOKANE — After two rounds, the 31st Rosauers Open Invitational has a distinct North Idaho flavor.

North Idaho College golf coach and PGA professional Russell Grove and amateur Derek Bayley of Rathdrum are just one stroke back heading into today’s final round of the 54-hole tournament at Indian Canyon.

Grove, last year’s runner-up in a playoff, shot a 3-under 68 on Saturday and is at 8-under 134.

Bayley followed up his opening-round 72 with a 9-under 62 on Saturday, a round which featured seven birdies and two eagles. Bayley won the Rosauers two years ago when it was played at MeadowWood in Liberty Lake, shooting a tournament-record 59 (13 under par) in the second round.

PGA professional David Brown of Arrowhead Golf Course in Molalla, Ore., leads at 69-64—133.

Jason Wiles of Eagle Point (Ore.) Golf Club, who shot 64 on Friday for the first-round lead, shot 74 on Saturday and is at 4-under 138.
