Athol man dies in crash during law enforcement pursuit

ATHOL — An Athol man died after crashing on a U.S. 95 off-ramp near Silverwood Theme Park while being pursued by law enforcement early Saturday morning.
Idaho State Police reported that around 6:30 a.m., the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a blue 1997 Toyota Camry driven by Howard R. Brammer, 49.
Brammer took the northbound U.S. 95 Exit 446 off-ramp at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate the curve. Brammer was ejected in the crash and was transported by ambulance to Kootenai Health, where he was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
Brammer was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt, according to ISP.
