Hatley bows out in quarterfinals

of PNGA men’s amateur

DuPONT, Wash. — Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake lost 2 and 1 to Spencer Tibbits of Vancouver, Wash., in the quarterfinals of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association men’s amateur on Friday at The Home Course.

Hatley was the No. 7 seed in the 64-man match play bracket. Tibbits, the 63rd seed, went on to lose 2 and 1 to 46th seed Trevor Yu of Vancouver in the semifinals.

Yu faces 29th seed Mitchell Baldridge of Edgewood, Wash., in today’s championship match.
