Ladies in Black volleyball
Farrell, a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Lake City High and Division II Northwest Nazarene, signed to continue her career with Ladies in Black in Achen, Germany. “Madison is the youngest of our three resources who can learn much from (teammates) Lisa (Basic) and Krista (Dege),” coach Saskia Van Hintum said. “She’ll be full of hang in her first year of professional volleyball I’m sure.”
Nick Nyquist
Walla Walla Sweets
Nyquist, an infielder from Coeur d’Alene High and Gonzaga, was named to the South Division team for the West Coast League All-Star Game on Tuesday at Civic Field in Port Angeles. Nyquist has appeared in 20 games for the Sweets (17-14) and is batting .314 (22 for 67) with three doubles, 18 runs scored and 13 runs batted in. The West Coast League is a colleigate summer baseball league, with teams based in Washington, British Columbia and Oregon.

Red Sox
Jackson, a 5-11 pitcher from Lakeland High, has appeared in six games for the Red Sox (11-9), saving two games and holding a 1.29 earned run average. He has nine strikeouts and is holding opposing batters to a .214 average. The Gulf Coast League is a rookie league that operates in Florida.
