PRESS: You're OK

I am an old newspaper junkie, have been all my life. I have subscribed to everything from The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Tucson, Palm Springs, USA Today, Spokesman-Review, Wall Street Journal, and the Coeur d’Alene Press. Of them, you have the best local news, smidge of national news, good layout, great local stories and minimum political bias, and I note the good job you do of attracting advertisers. The Press is twice as big as the Review. All the others have submitted to fake news. You haven’t, but some pieces are borderline biased, only because you subscribe to the AP news.

It’s a thin line for local newspapers to stay in business or subscribe to the hate and fake news. You have chosen the right path, and work hard at it, so keep up your good work. You are a survivor in the citizens’ dislike of the news people. We local citizens appreciate your honest work.
