SCHOOL: Remember this, voters

| February 18, 2018 12:00 AM

I enjoyed Christina Linford’s letter about Coeur d’Alene School District 271. So what’s new? Any time the district has a need, they request a new levy and the “pigeons” vote it in wholeheartedly. We’ve been snowed before — like the school where the architect got the figures wrong and we had to pony up a second time, or where the district used money for something other than what it was “advertised” for. I wish I still had the article or remembered the schools involved in these incidences.

The next time the district talks new school, the levy will swim to success and we will complain again. Serves us right! When I read that the head coach at Boise State earns $1,450,009.60 a year (Press editorial, “Transparent Idaho, employees making more money than the governor”) don’t tell me schools are poor and need more of my money. Parents or not, wake up and start voting NO on every levy. District 271 MAY get the message.
