PRAYER: God is not limited to a crisis

| February 18, 2018 12:00 AM

Last week, the despicable ladies of “The View” viciously mocked Vice President Pence for his religion, especially when he talks to God through prayer. Gus Nosworthy, an Olympic athlete who is openly an outspoken homosexual, also mocked the vice president because he will not embrace Mr. Nosworthy’s deviant lifestyle.

Two days later, America is faced with another crisis, the mass shooting of students and faculty. Liberal commentators disgracefully used this tragedy to politicize this issue to attack President Trump.

Megan Kelly while reporting on the crisis in the school said, “Guns are legal, prayers are not.” However, something is wrong with this picture. Americans everywhere are praying. Why is it OK to pray during a time of crisis? Once the mourning is over, it is again illegal to talk about and pray to God. During the past few days, we have all heard people say they have directed theirs prayers to the families and friends of those who have lost a loved one.

While it makes us feel good, prayer is talking to God and He is not limited to a crisis. Some of us remember when every school day began with prayer to God and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
