Fraser passes exam for Professional Engineering

ALLWEST Testing & Engineering’s Scott Fraser has passed his Professional Engineering Exam. Fraser, a staff engineer, has held positions in the firm’s Hayden and Spokane offices.

ALLWEST hired Fraser as a lab technician in 2012. He earned multiple certifications including Concrete Field Testing, Aggregate Testing, Asphalt Testing, Embankment and Base Testing and Density Testing. Fraser graduated from the University of Idaho in 2013 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. ALLWEST hired Fraser as a staff engineer in 2014.

Fraser’s primary area of focus is geotechnical evaluations and materials testing of soils, concrete and asphalt. He has worked on multiple projects including the Kalispel Tribe’s fueling station in Airway Heights, Wash., Avista’s Waste and Recovery Building, CHAS parking lot improvements, Sacred Heart Medical Center’s CICU renovations, the Sprague Street Preservation Project, Celebration grounds in Wellpinit, the WEMCO Manufacturing Facility in Spokane Valley and non-motorized transportation improvements in Newport, Wash.

Idaho REALTORS hires new CEO

Idaho REALTORS is pleased to announce the recent hiring of David F. Hensley as CEO.

“Idaho REALTORS is very fortunate to have David as a new member of our REALTOR family,” said Raphael Barta, president of IR.

Hensley is coming to IR from the Office of the Governor, where he has been the chief of staff for Idaho Gov. Butch Otter since 2011. Prior to that, he served as deputy chief of staff and legal counsel to Gov. Otter. His political endeavors began with former Gov. Dirk Kempthorne and Gov. James Risch, serving as principal legal advisor and counsel. Hensley is a proud native Idahoan with a sincere appreciation for our state and individual communities.

Hensley has an extensive and reputable history in Idaho. He received his bachelor’s degree in arts in business administration and arts in history from the College of Idaho in 1998. He went on to pursue his law degree from the University of Idaho, graduating in 2002. He has multiple professional achievements dating back to 2002, when he was admitted to Idaho State Bar as well as admitted to United States District Court — District of Idaho.

In 2007 he was admitted to the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and in 2014 he was admitted to the United States Supreme Court. Idaho Business Review awarded him in 2010 for their “Accomplished Under 40 Award.” The Idaho State Journal listed Hensley in 2015 as one of the 50 most influential people in the state.
