POEM: My wish list

I write to you dear Santa,

My grown up list this year,

I wish for my grandfather to be in my embrace,

I pray my whole family together could be here,

I wish for only health for my nephews,

I wish only the best for my beloved niece,

This is my grown list Santa,

Make it come true somehow please,

I write to you with a child’s festive heart,

Asking for wishes not all for me,

I ask only this year no tears are shed,

That instead we smile as we put up the Christmas tree,

My grown list I write to you,

In longing only for unity,

Dear Santa,

I write to you this year to just help us,

Let us love and care for one another,

May we learn to truly treasure what is important this Christmas.
