Hooked on a feeling

| August 15, 2018 1:00 AM

We live in a world focused on “How you feel?”

Do you ever wonder what that feeling or pain is telling you? When it comes to many health problems, the condition is already well advanced before any symptoms arise. Many of us have known someone who finds out they have a serious condition which has been progressing for many years, yet the first symptom just recently appeared.

In other words, how you feel can be a poor measure of health. This is why the buzz word “prevention” became so popular. We want to prevent disease and injury. But how do you do that?

The journey of natural healing is a process to strengthen us to wellness. The many physical symptoms (rash, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, etc.) may push you to the limit. Many worry and wonder if they will get through it. The good news is that these symptoms are the body’s way of warning us there is a problem and working to cleanse the body naturally. Often times when the symptoms are suppressed with chemicals, it will make the body work harder next time with a higher fever or more disease, which can lead to weakness of the autoimmune system.

One way is to invest in your health by doing things that will promote well-being. This includes a healthy diet, exercise, stress management and integrative therapies such as chiropractic, massage therapy and acupuncture. When we invest in our health, it helps support our body to handle daily stress from hectic schedules, environmental toxins, sports injuries, falls, poor posture, poor sleeping habits, auto accidents and other events that we deal with every day.

In our office, this is why we recommend chiropractic checkups, regardless of how you feel. It is not because we think it is a good idea, but because chiropractic has been utilized in this capacity since 1895 with effective results. Chiropractic care is safer than back surgery or swallowing an aspirin. If you are not enjoying true health, it may be time to consider chiropractic. Call Natural Spine Solutions to schedule an appointment and see if this may be the answer for you.
