While it makes sense considering the location, the Parkside Bungalows development has proven to be one of the most in-demand neighborhoods this season at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community.

The views can’t be imitated. The Bungalows sit along its own private waterway on Brown’s Inlet leading into Lake Pend Oreille. The homes themselves deliver the goods too, mixing modern luxury and convenience with a “cabin-by-the-lake” aesthetic.

Development on Parkside’s second phase began last fall and continues strong, with just one home remaining directly on the water. The other available properties in Phase II boast sweeping views of the area’s unrivaled mountainscapes.

“The new streets are paved, and our first Phase II homeowner is about to move in,” said Marie Garvey, director of sales and marketing for Dover Bay Development.

All residents have access to the inlet for non-motorized boat use, as well as use of a private neighborhood beach. Kayakers and fishing enthusiasts especially would have their own private paradise to enjoy.

One move-in ready home is available now — the one-bedroom, one-bathroom Bungalow is priced at $199,000 and includes a gas fireplace, air conditioning, premium features and amenities, full appliances, and can come fully furnished for an additional fee.

Buyers can choose from more than 10 different floor plans in the second phase. Homes can be 1-3 bedrooms, including a spacious plan that includes three bedrooms and an additional loft space. The remaining waterfront property includes a two-car garage. Mountain view homes include a covered carport. Prices range from $199,000 to $415,000.

All Parkside Bungalow homes come fully landscaped with a sprinkler system. Entertaining is easy with spacious decks for outdoor relaxation. The units also include all appliances, gas fireplaces, gas forced air heating and air conditioning and more, and buyers can select their own finishes and colors throughout the home.

With a quiet lifestyle surrounded by nature, Dover Bay has also opted to make the Parkside Bungalows a low-maintenance residency. HOA fees are $285/month and include lawn care, snow removal, water, sewer and other amenities. Parkside Bungalows can serve as full-time or seasonal residences, and owners can also utilize the property as a long-term or vacation rental.

While outdoor recreation continues well into the fall at Dover Bay, now is the time to see Pend Oreille living in all its glory, and the Parkside Bungalows sit at the center of that lifestyle. The neighborhood is just a few steps from Dover Bay’s luxurious Marina Village, which includes an expanded marina with both short and long-term boat moorage options, a heated outdoor swimming pool and spa, fitness center, tennis courts, market and much more. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are just a few rental options available at the Marina Village.

The Village is also home to Dover Bay’s popular full-service restaurant, The Dish, which is open daily for lunch and dinner throughout the summer.

Dover Bay is home to several unique neighborhoods, with different price points and styles to appeal to all types of buyers. In addition to traditional ownership, there are long-term home rentals available, as well as spacious vacation rentals for those looking for some late-summer relaxation. More vacation and “try-before-you-buy” options come in the form of beautiful bungalow rentals available through the Dover Bay Resort. Labor Day Weekend rentals are available but will go fast.

Dover Bay is also just a couple minutes from the eclectic downtown stretch of Sandpoint, featuring shops, restaurants and even more outdoor activities. The town is currently hosting its popular Festival at Sandpoint, with musical performances from the likes of Big Head Todd, Amos Lee, ZZ Top, Gavin DeGraw and much more. Today marks the finale of the festival with a performance by the Spokane Symphony. Hiking, biking and much more outdoor recreation is also available at the nearby Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Or you can stay and play within the Dover Bay Waterfront Community, as it includes its own nine miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as nine acres of parks and beaches.
