Transportation meetings April 25

| April 19, 2018 1:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — The Idaho Transportation Department is hosting public meetings on Wednesday, April 25, to share information on a plan that identifies how future funding, technology, demographics and economics will shape transportation in Idaho to the year 2040.

The meetings will be at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the transportation department’s District 1 office in Coeur d’Alene, 600 W. Prairie Ave.

Public input will help the department update its Long-Range Transportation Plan, IDAGO 2040.

The 3 p.m. meeting will gather feedback from professional stakeholders involved in transportation issues. The 6 p.m. meeting will present the input from the stakeholders and allow the public to participate in an online survey that asks respondents about their transportation priorities.

Similar meetings are being held throughout Idaho.

Public input is important to the planning effort. The transportation department is offering an online public opinion survey. Visit https://itd.idaho.gov/planning and click on the Long-Range Transportation Plan tab to participate in the survey. The same web address can be visited for additional information on the long-range plan.

Those with questions about the long-range plan, meetings or online survey can contact Ken Kanownik at lrtp@itd.idaho.gov or at 208-332-7823.
