Technique Gymnastics Junior Olympics team traveled to Pocatello to compete in the state meet on March 16-18. Technique results follow.

All Around State Champ – Ava Nordberg

Vault State Champs – Kirsten Iames and Ava Nordberg

Level 2s attending State: Karlie Mosqueda, Sierra Harvey and Layla Castro. Karlie Mosqueda placed 2nd on Beam, 4th on Floor, and 6th All Around with her highest AA score of the year 36.85. Sierra Harvey also received her highest AA score of the year with a 35.6

Level 3s attending State: Elsa Laker, Kirsten Iames, Brooklynn Widmer, Khloe Martin, Ava Nordberg, Viviann Crebs, and Jaylin Koneval. Elsa Laker placed 5th on Bars, 2nd on Beam, and AA Bronze State Medalist with her highest all year of a 37.20. Kirsten Iames is State Champ on Vault, 5th on Bars, 5th on Floor and 5th AA with her highest score all year of 37.175; Brooklynn Widmer is Bronze Medalist on Vault, 4th on Bars, 6th on Beam, 6th on Floor, and 5th AA with her highest score all year of 37.125; Khloe Martin placed 4th on Vault, Bronze Medalists on Bars, 4th on Beam, 4th on Floor, and 4th AA with her highest score of 36.85; Ava Nordberg is State Champ on Vault, Silver Medalists on Bars, Bronze Medalists on Beam, 6th on Floor, and AA State Champ with her highest of 36.70; Viviann Crebs was 6th on Bars, and 6th on Beam, she also achieved her highest score in her AA of 35.675. Jaylin Koneval received her highest Beam score of 8.725

Level 5s attending State: Dianna Bustillos, Naomi Fritts, and Cadence Wurster. Dianna Bustillos was Bronze Medalist on Vault, 5th on Bars, and received her highest AA score of 35.625; Naomi Fritts received her highest Vault score of 9.125, she also tied her highest Bar score of 9.15; Cadence Wurster received her highest Vault score of 8.85, her highest Bar score of 8.75, 6th place on Beam, and her highest AA score of 34.375.

Technique Gymnastics traveled to Meridian for the Xcel Championship meet on March 23-25. The following Technique gymnasts placed in the top 6 at their individual level:

Elyse Hemenway was State Champ on Vault, Silver Medalist on Beam, Bronze Medalist on Floor, and All Around State Champion with her highest season score of 37.325; Mady Riley placed 5th on Vault, Silver Medalist on Bars, State Champ on Beam, Bronze Medalist on Floor and All Around State Champ with her highest season score of 37.2; Caitlin Costello placed 6th on Vault, Silver Medalists on Bars, Silver Medalist on Beam, 4th on Floor and Silver Medalist in All Around with her highest season score of 37.70. Tatum Easterday placed 6th on Vault, Bronze Medalist on Bars, Bronze Medalist on Beam, State Champ on Floor, and Bronze Medalist All Around with her highest season score of 36.625; Kaitlynn Butler placed 5th on Bars, Silver Medalist on Beam, and 6th All Around with her highest season score of 36.6; Taylor Payne placed Silver Medalist on Vault, 4th on Beam and 5th All Around. The Xcel Silver Team placed 4th at State.

Amber Shoolroy placed 6th on Vault, State Champ on Bars, Silver Medalists on Beam, 4th on Floor and Silver Medalist in the All Around with her highest season score of 37.425; Karsyn Crawford was Bronze Medalist on Vault, 6th on Beam, State Champ on Floor, and 4th All Around with her highest season score of 36.675; Kayla Nelson was Silver Medalist on Vault, 4th on Bars, 5th on Floor and 4th All Around with her highest season score of 36.625. The Xcel Gold Team placed 5th at State.

Xcel Platinums who attended were: Mallory Okon, Bethany Frey, Natalie Brett, and Ana Pearse. Mallory Okon is State Champ on Vault, State Champ on Bars, Silver Medalists on Beam, State Champ on Floor and All Around State Champ with her highest season score of 37.975; Bethany Frey was Silver Medalist on Vault, Silver Medalist on Bars, State Champ on Beam, Bronze Medalist on Floor, and Silver Medalists in All Around with her highest season score of 37.90; Natalie Brett placed 5th on Vault, 6th on Bars, 6th on Beam, and 6th All Around with her highest season score of 36.7; Ana Pearse placed 6th on Vault, 5th on Beam, 6th on Floor, and her highest All Around season score of 36.15. The Xcel Platinum Team brought home the 1st Place State Team Award. Mallory Okon and Ana Pearse are both graduating seniors from Technique and were both honored at State.
