New Super 1 Foods - chain's 19th - to open in Athol

A 57,130-square-foot building with 125 employees will open Wednesday in Athol. The Super 1 Foods store will be in the northeast corner of The Crossings at the intersection of Highways 95 and 54.

The 19th of the Super 1 Foods chain, with its headquarters in Hayden, includes fresh produce, meat, a seafood service case and a scratch bakery.

The service deli has a self-serve daily specials, a hot bar, salad bar, barbecue and soups. With tables, chairs and a fireplace, the deli will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Other amenities are an Ace Hardware section, a large natural-organic department, a large selection of beers and wines with a growler station for both, a customer service and video department, a utility counter, a pharmacy with a drive-up window and a huge parking lot.

While Ron McIntire is president of the company, key people in the Athol store are Randy Wilson, store manager, Mike Luedecke, Evan Szakacs, Keven Fisher, Trevon Hostetler, Tom Tonkin, Anne Bell, Jessica Jordan and Carrie McSheehy.

Cotton-Eye Joe Espresso opens Monday in Cd’A

Forming a partnership with local companies, Cotton-Eye Joe Espresso opens Monday at 1825 Government Way (near the Emma Avenue intersection south of Ironwood Square).

Owner Christin Mesenbrink said she’ll offer “a deliciously strong cup of ol’ fashion cowboy coffee, hand-blended fresh fruit smoothies and home-made breakfast burritos and sandwiches from Food That Fuels.” She has been a barista for several years at other coffee stands.

Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Phone 208-772-3324.

Amerimart store open at State Line

Offering gas at Idaho prices and complete convenience store items, Amerimart has opened an outlet at 7035 W. Seltice Way at State Line.

With this store open 5 a.m. to midnight daily, Amerimart also has two outlets in Spokane. Phone the new store at 208-773-9019.

Windmill Storage grows on Prairie

More than 100 units of various sizes and amenities are and will be available at the new Windmill Storage complex in the 5700 block of Prairie Avenue between Huetter and Meyer Roads.
