POST FALLS — A pair of wanted felons were arrested in Post Falls on Thursday night during separate incidents.
Kerry L. Kipp, 30, Post Falls, who was wanted on a $35,000 warrant for manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance, was arrested at his mother's residence.
Paul C. Best, 21, Rathdrum, who was wanted on a $20,000 warrant for failure to appear for burglary and other charges, was arrested at Jack in the Box.
Police received a tip that Kipp was at his mother's residence on Third Avenue.
An officer wrote in his report that he heard a noise coming from a bedroom when he searched the home.
"After giving multiple directives without an answer, I looked in the bedroom, and I observed a male sitting outside of the bedroom window on top of the roof," Officer Patrick Finan wrote in his report.
The officer wrote that, to make the arrest, he guided Kipp onto a bed from outside after Kipp was reluctant to comply with directives to come inside.
With Best, Finan received a tip that he was working at the fast-food business on Highway 41.
Finan wrote that, after he didn't receive help from employees outside about Best's whereabouts, he searched inside the business.
Best was found hiding inside the walk-in freezer, according to the report.
"In the corner, on the bottom shelf and behind a cardboard box, I located a male hiding," Finan wrote.
Best also had a warrant for driving while suspended.
