NEA: Uprising wrong way
There is a big difference between “being respectful of people’s differences” and “compelling a uniformity of thought,” of “teaching, discussing and exposing the dark passages of American history” and tearing it down and re-writing it in order to compel a uniformity of thought.
The NEA is all about re-writing history, and is completely disrespectful of people’s differences, if those people are white, Judeo-Christian, constitutionalists.
The NEA is about the compulsion of all its “teachers” and students, to conform to its agenda, to inculcate into the minds and hearts of all students:
Catastrophic climate change is happening and is caused by the western capitalist world. The mom and dad nuclear family is outmoded, the state is benefactor and family. The constitution was created by white slave owners and cannot be trusted to guide and govern today’s society. America and capitalism are the primary causes of the world’s problems. American whites should feel an immense amount of guilt for their privilege. They owe all people of color a lifetime of apology and reparations.
John Stocks, the ED of the NEA as quoted in Saturday’s Press, evidently said not a word about the classical education of his young students; unvarnished history, civics, mathematics, English, art... It’s all about “uprising and revolution.” Against what? Oh, I know; people like me, 63-year-old WASPs who still cling to their Bible, their 2nd Amendment, their non-LGBTQ family and live peacefully with the outcome of the 2016 Electoral College vote tally.
