DUNCAN: Time to die

I have read two letters in The Press concerning Joseph Duncan. My son, Mark McKenzie, was murdered by Duncan, along with Brenda, Spade, and Dylan Groene. For years now I have been asking questions as to why this monster has not been executed.

Duncan has found many ways to avoid death. Right now he has shelter, warm bed, food ... all at the expense of the taxpayers.

The McKenzie and Groene families have had to live with the fact he has not been executed. I don’t think I will ever have closure or peace of mind until this monster is gone. I wish I could understand the judicial system. Why can’t they follow up with the sentence? Why must our families continue to live with the fact that justice has not been done? It has been almost 13 years since the tragedy took place. It’s time.

One thing more. Sheriff Wolfinger has backed me since day one. He has done his best to keep me informed on what he is allowed to tell me. The FBI has been of no help to me. A lot of tears have fallen since May 16, 2005.
