COUNTY: Voters have spoken
I read the CdA Press editorial by Mike Patrick on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, with incredulity that during his defense of the county manager position and Dan Green he would feel it necessary to undermine my credibility by labeling me as the minority fringe. Mr. Patrick knows me very well and is quite aware of the fact that I was staff assistant for Idaho Sen. James McClure for 24 years and delegate to the Republican National Convention over 10 times. He knows that I am well versed in politics at the county, state, and national level. For him to impugn my reputation in an editorial entitled “...Please Don’t Attack,” I find ironic.
My information concerning Agenda 21 began in 2012 with the Republican National Committee which adopted a platform resolution that stated, “...we strongly reject Agenda 21 as erosive to American sovereignty.” Anyone who would review the UN website I provided in my letter with the corresponding 324-page document on Agenda 21 and then review the previously rejected Kootenai County land development code would see similarities between the two documents. My assertion has credibility.
After checking with the county clerk, I discovered that the money lost by Kootenai County during this failed rewriting of the codes actually amounted to $324,000. This amount has already been lost in pursuit of a position that lacks checks and balances. It’s time to end this. The voters have spoken: We value our freedom.
