LIMITS: Term them out

Regarding Chuck Malloy’s guest opinion on term limits, I wholeheartedly agree. I would like to see an article 5 convention of states to force a constitutional amendment imposing term limits on ALL federal House and Senate members IF it could be limited to that issue ONLY. Part of this would also be no federal retirement. They get Social Security and whatever they put into a 401k like the rest of us.

When it becomes unavoidable they will be living under the same laws as the rest of us. I honestly believe the rest will fall into place. I know one of the arguments against this is we will be losing the good ones just as they are learning the job. Bull. The founding fathers managed and this experiment in self government had never before been attempted in all of human history.

What is so scary about having the CITIZEN legislature the founding fathers envisioned? It was never intended to be a career. These people will NEVER vote themselves off the throne. More and more it seems we are being governed by a select few.
