Levi and Adrienne Deters with granddaughter Rosamond of Spokane, honored David and Cheri Deters’ 40th anniversary with a surprise cruise on The Osprey on July 30, 2017, with 70 of their friends.
David and Cheri were married July 29, 1977, in Des Moines, Wash. David and Cheri reside in Harrison.

The family of Alta Haines gathered to celebrate her 100th birthday. Alta turned 100 on Sept. 12, 2017. She was born in 1917 in Jacksboro, Texas.

Marine Corps Col. Mark S. Coppess has assumed command of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma as the Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma during a ceremony held on July 7, 2017, at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Japan.
Coppess is the son of Lee P. Coppess of Hayden Lake and Karen S. Coppess of Dalton Gardens.
He graduated in 1998 from Coeur d’Alene High School in Coeur d’Alene and earned a master’s degree in 2016 from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
