PLUMMER — While it might not have been about them at the start of the night, it was a night dedicated to a school 25 miles away by the end of the night.

The Lakeside Knights dedicated Thursday’s North Star League match to nearby Freeman (Wash.) High, where a school shooting occurred on Wednesday.

“A lot of the girls knew some of the kids from Freeman,” Lakeside coach Brad Veile said. “We put some #Freemanstrong banners in the gym. You could tell it was on their minds all night.”

In the match, Sativa Bohlman had six kills and eight digs for the Knights in a 25-15, 25-7, 25-16 league win over the Mullan Tigers on Thursday at Ron Miller Court.

“We played with a little more confidence tonight,” Veile said. “Sativa hit the ball well, passed well and was moving well on the court.”
