Brice Lee Bemis, 64

May 10, 1953 – Sept. 4, 2017

Brice Lee Bemis, aka Grandpa Grizzly Bear, hit the road on the evening of Monday, Sept, 4, 2017, at the age of 64. He left us just as he lived, in his own way.

A service honoring him was held Sept. 6, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church where he was a member for more than 40 years.

He was known for his bear hugs, many smiles, few words, loud voice and as a never ending super-fan. He was the ultimate fan of sports, movies, Hudson’s, his four children and most recently his five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his soul mate Jeanne on May 19, 2011, and by both of his parents. He is survived by his four children, five grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews, several in-laws, his younger brother, and all the other family members and companions who will cherish the smiles and hugs he so gladly provided.

Grandpa Grizz your time expired way too soon, but now you can yell at us from the sidelines. We will listen for you every step of the way. We love you.
