Disc golfers invited to Saturday's Farragut Fling
Disc golfers gearing up for the popular Farragut Open can practice playing competitively at this season’s last Farragut Fling disc golf tournament this Saturday.
Before the tournament all Farragut Disc Golf club members participating in the tournament can submit their membership bag tag into a drawing for a free $200 Innova disc golf basket. One tag will be drawn during the first round player’s meeting, and the disc golf basket will be awarded to the club member with the best score that played in the same division as the player whose tag was drawn.
Only club members are eligible to win the basket. Club memberships will be available at the event for $15 (bag tag) or $25 (bag tag and disc).
The “Farragut Fling’s” $35 entry fee applies to all PDGA members; it costs $45 otherwise. Amateurs will receive a player’s pack that includes at least two discs of their choosing, while Open divisions compete for cash. The top three finishers in all divisions win medals.
Each “Farragut Fling” will offer a morning and afternoon round on the same course. Participants will compete on the Wreckreator course this week.
Up to 90 players in divisions for all ages and skill levels can register for each event at pdga.com, or at the course on the day of the event from 7-8:30 a.m.
