Second phase begins at Dover Bay's Parkside Bungalows

There’s new opportunity for a modern cabin in the woods at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community.

Dover Bay just released the second phase of Parkside Bungalows, a serene neighborhood set along a private inlet of Lake Pend Oreille. Twenty-nine new homes will comprise the second phase, with four currently available directly on the water.

Residents can enjoy private beach access and non-motorized boat access to the inlet, which offers terrific fishing opportunities and relaxing kayaking.

“These are low maintenance, cozy bungalows that are conveniently located to all the amenities of the Marina Village,” said Marie Garvey, director of sales and marketing for Dover Bay.

The Parkside Bungalows neighborhood is quiet and surrounded by nature, though still just a short walk to the Village, which includes the marina, fitness center, heated outdoor swimming pool and spa and other amenities.

More than 10 different floor plans are available for the Bungalows, with options to add lofts and other premium upgrades. Standard features in the homes include a contemporary kitchen, gas fireplaces, gas forced air heating and air conditioning, high efficiency hot water tanks, large entertainment decks, modern amenities and choose-your-own finishes.

Prices start at $189,000, which is the Alberta design — a one bedroom, one-bathroom home with 522 square feet. On the other end, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home on the water with 1,574 square feet and a two-car garage is listed at $369,000.

HOA fees are $285/month and include water, sewer, lawn care, snow plowing and other amenities designed to keep the property extremely low maintenance. Homes can serve as either a primary residence, seasonal family retreat or a centrally-located vacation rental.

Reservations are being taken now for the second phase, and Dover Bay is moving forward with purchase and sale agreements. These first homes are set to be completed by spring 2018.

The Parkside Bungalows neighborhood is interconnected with Dover Bay’s vast walking and bicycle trail system, featuring more than nine miles of trails along more than nine acres of beautiful beaches and park areas. Dover Bay is just three miles away from the vibrant arts and culture community of Sandpoint, and just 12 miles from the Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

With many of the tourists leaving the area as summer ends, September is an excellent time to check out the numerous home styles and options in the Dover Bay Community. Vacation home and bungalow rentals are an excellent way to try out the amenities. You can also dine at the award-winning Dish Restaurant at the Marina Village, with dinner served 4-9 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday and lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
