PLUMMER — Quarterback Bryar Sanchez, who missed last week with a concussion, ran for three touchdowns and passed for a fourth as the host Knights (1-1, 1-1 White Star League) defeated the Wampus Cats.

“It helped to have Bryar back,” Lakeside coach Chris Dohrman said. “Our offensive and defensive line did a fantastic job today. We controlled the line of scrimmage. Trey Wienclaw and Gavin Rhea at defensive end, they were able to control the outside, which allowed everybody else to do the job on the inside.

“We were able to run the ball, and we played way better defense. Last week we didn’t tackle at all (in an 88-12 loss to Kendrick).”

Cameron Garcia, Josh Constantin and Theo Icardo scored touchdowns for Clark Fork (1-2, 1-1), which is idle until a Sept. 29 home game with Kootenai.

Lakeside travels to Garfield-Palouse on Friday.
