Male motorcycle driver dies while fleeing from police

COEUR d'ALENE — A male who was driving a stolen motorcycle died while attempting to flee police from the eastbound Huetter Rest Area along Interstate 90 on Tuesday, according to Idaho State Police.
The name of the man was not released on Tuesday because his family had not been notified.
An ISP trooper attempted a traffic stop at 3:35 p.m. and the driver pulled into the rest area, according to ISP. When the trooper attempted to contact the man, he attempted to flee and re-enter I-90 when he crashed.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
The Critical Incident Task Force headed by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate.
