Bones found in Cd'A rock quarry appear to be human

Bones found by children exploring a rock quarry in Coeur d’Alene appear to be human, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
Police were called Sunday after two children found the bones along with some clothing in the quarry located behind Central Pre-Mix, 847 W. Kathleen Avenue.
The remains appear to be human, said a news release.
It appears the remains have been in the quarry for a significant amount of time, according to police.
“At this time, there is no information about the identity of the remains or the cause of death. This is an active investigation andinformation will be released as it becomes available,” said the release.
