Betty Elaine Archer, 78

Betty Elaine Archer, 78, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away Sept. 3, 2017, at Shoshone Medical Center. She was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Missoula, Mont. Betty was the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Hawkins) Hirning.

On Jan. 1, 1972, Betty was united in marriage to Donald Archer in Missoula. Betty worked as a finish carpenter alongside her husband, Donald for numerous years. In 1994, Betty moved to the Silver Valley from Twin Falls, Idaho.

In her free time, Betty enjoyed going fishing, gardening, crocheting, baking, doing crafts and playing on computers. Betty was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies.

Betty is survived by her four children, Sherry Butler of Libby, Mont., Ivy Lake of Kalispell, Mont., John Lake of Missoula and Austin Lake of Kalispell; and two siblings, Linda Young of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Sharon Barber of Ronan, Mont. Betty is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; stepson Sam Archer and brother Raymond Reinke.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017. The location will be announced.
