| September 2, 2017 1:00 AM

ST. MARIES — After 13 straight wins, St. Maries did something it hasn’t done in quite a while.

Come up on the wrong side of the scoreboard.

Tyler Lohman had seven receptions for 64 yards and two touchdowns, but the Lumberjacks lost to the Riverside Rams 26-12 in a nonleague game on Friday.

It was the program’s first loss since 2015, when the Lumberjacks lost to Aberdeen in the state 2A quarterfinals.

Quarterback Kaden Hammond threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns and Zach Renfrew had 67 yards rushing for St. Maries (1-1), which hosts Deer Park next Friday.

Michael Zanoni had 107 yards rushing for Riverside in its season opener.

PLUMMER — Vincent Gitto scored on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Trey Wienclaw and again on a 5-yard run for the shorthanded Knights in a loss to the Tigers in White Star play.

“We were really outmatched tonight with only nine guys playing,” said Lakeside coach Chris Dohrman, who has 14 players on his roster. “The kids did the best they could and I was happy with what they did. It’s just tough with low numbers to get prepared. We’ll work on that next week and try to improve.”

Lakeside (0-1, 0-1 WSL) hosts Clark Fork next Saturday.

Kendrick is 1-1, 1-0.
