OSPREY: A bird's-eye view

| September 1, 2017 1:00 AM

We’ve been watching the Coeur d’Alene osprey camera for some time. Mom and occasionally Dad sat on the nest for weeks and in early June we had three tiny chicks! The parents were non-stop feeding them 24/7 and they grew and grew.

We watched them anxiously to see them fly and just on schedule, two flew but it took about three days for No. 3. That was early August; they still use the nest. I think Mom is still the main food provider. It’s been a delightful experience to be “up close” with this quite wonderful view of nature. Thank you, Coeur d’Alene!
