PLAYERS: Entitlement mentality

In response to Mr. Knight’s letter of Sept. 29, I am in total agreement. The basic problem is not politics, as those who are most vocal against anything affecting our nation today cannot most likely even spell “politics.” The football players who are using their playing field and TV screen time to allegedly protest some imaginary “racial inequality” are instead defiling our own American flag, our own country, while at the same time never serving to defend our nation. While they refuse to stand for our flag, they certainly pocket very fast the MILLIONS of dollars they earn in the very country they refuse to HONOR!

This is an extreme and very accurate example of the rampant sense of entitlement from which so many of our people suffer. These “athletes” make millions of dollars doing absolutely nothing, creating nothing, providing no jobs, adding nothing to our economy other than what they spend on themselves or their unmarried “partners of the moment” and their many children from unmarried homes. And these totally entitled, uneducated, ignorant people have the unmitigated gall to stand in judgment of our country and those who work everyday, who have died, for our country? I don’t think so.
