Idaho has a state gem, a state bird, a state fossil — and now a favorite holiday candy.

CandyStore.com, an online bulk candy store, surveyed more than 50,000 customers to suss out each state's favorite Christmas candy.

Idahoans favor M&M's above other candies — but wouldn't say no to Hershey Kisses and Jolly Ranchers, which placed second and third in the survey. Candy consumers in six other states have a similar sense of taste, including Connecticut and Kentucky.

CandyStore.com also rounded up sweet Christmas candy facts:

• 1.75 billion candy canes are produced every year for the holiday season.
• Approximately 150 million chocolate Santas are produced annually.
• The largest candy cane in the world was made in Switzerland. It was 51 feet long!
