NIC board seeks appointee

COEUR d'ALENE — The North Idaho College Board of Trustees is seeking an appointee for Trustee Zone 4, which is located mostly to the northeast of the main campus of NIC and encompasses Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton Gardens and part of Coeur d’Alene.

At the NIC Board of Trustees Nov. 15 meeting, longtime trustee Judy Meyer announced her resignation effective Jan. 31, 2018.

The NIC Board of Trustees is soliciting letters of interest from individuals who reside within NIC Trustee Zone 4 who are interested in serving in the trustee position for Zone 4. The deadline to submit a letter of interest is 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15. The board will hold interviews with potential appointees in the month of January and expects to fill the vacancy by the Jan. 17, 2018, board meeting.

Pursuant to Idaho code, the successful appointee will serve until the November 2018 election. The appointee can run as a candidate in 2018, and if elected to the Zone 4 position, will serve a two-year term until November 2020.

Potential candidates must reside in NIC Trustee Zone 4. Letters of interest should be addressed to:
