Harrison Creamery to hold ice cream giveaway fundraiser

Supporting children and families in need is the goal of the Harrison Creamery’s annual ice cream giveaway.

For a third year, the creamery will give away hundreds of scoops of its ice cream in exchange for donations to the Harrison Food Bank that serves families living on the east side of Lake Coeur d’Alene and east toward Cataldo.

The benefit will take place Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Harrison Creamery and Fudge Factory, 208 S. Coeur d’Alene Ave.

This year, the creamery has added another charity to support during the event: Children’s Village of Coeur d’Alene. The creamery will be collecting new or slightly used snow pants, waterproof winter gloves and boots sized for children age 3 to 18. Those who donate clothing items will be offered a $10 gift certificate to be used in 2018.
