Marsh Valley 15

ONTARIO, Ore. — Hitting became so contagious in the bottom of the sixth inning, almost everyone in the Tiger lineup caught it during a loser-out game at Treasure Valley Community College.

Pinch-hitter Jacob Privitt’s two-run single tied the game at 11, then Kobe Harris gave Timberlake the lead for good with an RBI single in a win over the Eagles.

“We hadn’t strung a lot of hits together and struggled a little bit at the start,” first-year Timberlake coach Cameron Knigge said. “We put some hits together and it was hit after hit, and it kind of snowballed from there. It was just contagious. Our kids just fought and I couldn’t be more proud of them.”

Timberlake (9-9) will face Teton in the consolation championship today at 9 a.m. PDT.
