The Cd’A Resort

announces new food and beverage hires

The Coeur d’Alene Resort announced the addition of three new members to its Food and Beverage team.

Jordan Root has been hired as the assistant manager of Beverly’s, which is located on the seventh floor of The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Root comes to Beverly’s from Vail, Colo., where he most recently worked at The Vail Chophouse as the assistant general manager and sommelier. He has held other management positions including those at Revolution Restaurant also in Vail and with Bar Louie and Malone’s Steakhouse Inn in Lexington, Ky.

Greg Nehlich has joined the Beverly’s team as sous chef. Nehlich has a formal culinary education from Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, Ore., and Las Vegas, Nev. He also has a great deal of experience working at the Red Rock Casino and Prime Steak House in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Locally, Nehlich has worked with Black Rock Country Club. He has also served as chef at several other southern California hospitality operations.

Michelle Wood joins Dockside restaurant, located on the lobby level of The Coeur d’Alene Resort, as assistant manager. Wood has relocated from Vail, Colo., where she most recently worked at Gore Range Restaurant & Brewery as the general manager. She has held other management positions including one at The Vail Chophouse, as assistant general manager, and at Blue Moose Pizza as the manager and group coordinator, both located in Vail.

Serving guests for 30 years, The Resort has more than 300 rooms, including the exclusive Hagadone and Jaeger penthouse suites. It is home to a world-renowned golf course which is home to the world’s only Floating Green, an award-winning spa and more than 32,000 square feet of meeting and events space. The Resort also has a full fitness center, pool, and a variety of dining venues.

Fulks joins

St. Vincent de Paul; Smalley promoted

St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho announced Andrea Fulks has been added to the nonprofit’s development department as its new events coordinator. In her new position, Fulks will oversee the existing Party in the Park, the St. Vincent de Paul Fashion Show, the Veteran’s Run, the Souport the End of Homelessness, and will be adding new events throughout the year.

Fulks comes to St. Vincent de Paul with many years of community event experience. From working at Washington Trust Banks to the Post Falls Chamber, Fulks is involved in her community. In 2007, she was named Post Falls Volunteer of the Year.

Barbara Smalley has been promoted to development director and will be overseeing the development department. Barbara has been overseeing St. Vincent de Paul’s events for the past six years. Her new position will support events, but focus more on the President’s Club, community relations and donor cultivation.
