The Dover Bay Waterfront Community on Lake Pend Oreille is home to a huge variety of neighborhoods and home styles. The newest neighborhood — West Beach Court — gives future homeowners a choice of some of that variety, as well as many of the most beautiful vistas across the entire community.

Just released for purchase, home sites in West Beach Court vary in size and location — with some lots offering waterfront lake or inlet access, and others with stunning mountain and wetland views. The sites are nestled along the trails of the larger community and are near the park, playground and beaches of Dover Bay, as well as the Marina Village.

Nature-set landscapes and building flexibility make the 19 new lots a hot ticket in Dover Bay.

“There’s been lots of interest — they’re beautiful, beautiful lots,” said Marie Garvey, director of sales and marketing for Dover Bay.

Buyers can choose their own builders, or simply hold onto the site indefinitely until they’re ready to start construction.

West Beach Court options include:

- Four estate waterfront view home sites starting at $395,000. South facing sites include approximately 100 feet of Lake Pend Oreille waterfront that are near an acre in size and feature mature old-growth trees and southern exposures. Build a 1,500-3,600-square-foot home with accessory structure and private dock.

- Three island view home sites starting at $189,000. Near the wetland and nestled among cedar and pine trees with unique lake and waterway views. 1,500-3,600-square-foot homes.

- Seven expansive mountain view home sites starting at $119,900. North views of the hillsides that surround Dover Bay. 1,500-3,600-square-foot homes near trails, parks and beaches.

- Five inlet view home sites starting at $189,000. Waterfront sites along the Brown’s Inlet Bay with views of the wandering inlet, Dover Bay walking bridges and looking out toward Lake Pend Oreille. Canoe and kayak the inlet right from your home.

West Beach Court isn’t the only expansion happening at Dover Bay this summer. The community’s marina will be adding more than 100 additional slips. Both residents and non-residents of Dover Bay can reserve a slip for the summer season.

The Marina Village as a whole includes a fitness center, an outdoor heated swimming pool and spa that’s open year-round, market, tennis and volleyball courts and other resort-like amenities. The Village’s popular restaurant, The Dish, is open for lunch and dinner beginning May 19.

In total, Dover Bay covers 285 acres of forest, lakes and open meadows. It includes more than 9 acres of beaches and park areas, as well as 9 miles of walking and bicycle trails. It’s only 3 miles from restaurants, arts and outdoor activities in Sandpoint and just 12 miles from Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Dover Bay is also a great place to visit or vacation. Bungalows and other overnight rentals are still available for the weekend of Sandpoint’s “Lost in the ’50s” festival and car show, held May 19-21. Visit www.Sandpoint.com/Entertainment/lostin50s.asp for more information.
