REMOTE: Words of advice

I live in an area with a low population, but with visitors coming through and snowbirds coming home from far away.
This means that we full-time residents get germs from outsiders occasionally, but not often enough to build up immunity to them. An example: I recently got influenza which has put me down for about three weeks and I’m 68 years young…a dangerous situation for us older folks and young folks. Normally a socially active person would receive some of those germs and build up an immunity to them. However, we “recluses” don’t build up the immunity and when we contact a disease, it devastates us.
I suggest that we get the flu shots, etc., and take vitamins to hold off the effects of these diseases.
