SCARCELLO: For Lakes commissioner

| May 5, 2017 1:00 AM

Lakes Highway District will benefit from the selection on May 16 of Laurin Scarcello as their new commissioner. He is a lifetime member of the community — his family having been in the area since the early 1900s. This is a man who, in a careful and level headed manner, weights facts in complex situations and reaches reasonable conclusions. Another of his attributes is his effective ability to solve problems in a creative manner. Laurin won’t hesitate to stand up for what is right while still being able to see issues in a progressive light.

He understands hard work (operating a ranch while simultaneously running his own welding business) and has served the community for years as a 4-H leader and board member of the local Farm Bureau. Laurin is not only concerned with the durability of roadways, but also with their safety. He has children and grandchildren in the Lakes District, so his service is truly a personal investment in addition to his commitment to local taxpayers. If Lakes Highway District wants to a steadfast and honorable commissioner who can represent a diverse population, Laurin Scarcello is an excellent choice. Cast your ballot for him on May 16.
