Camp Four Echoes earns accreditation
The American Camp Association (ACA) announced Wednesday the Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and North Idaho’s “Camp Four Echoes” has received ACA-Accredited Camp status for summer 2017.
“ACA accreditation means that Camp Four Echoes submitted to a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation by the ACA — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management — and complied with the highest standards in the industry,” said Cindy Moore, National Standards Commission. “Parents expect their children to attend accredited schools. They also deserve a camp experience that is reviewed and accredited by an expert, independent organization.”
Pam Lund, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, said the partnership promotes summers of growth and fun in an environment committed to safety.
“ACA accreditation demonstrates our commitment to quality camp programming,” Lund said.
Camp Four Echoes was founded in 1938 and is located on the shoreline of Lake Coeur d’Alene. The camp is in operation from June to August and offers sessions lasting from weekend events to two weeks.
