CALIFORNIA: Comparing values

| June 28, 2017 1:00 AM

In response to the “My Turn” item by Bob McAdams:

What are you? An FBI profiler?

You see someone doing something that offends you and you know immediately that they are from California?

You state that people living up here need to know traditional values such as politeness, self-sufficiency, respect for others, honesty and integrity, hard work, graciousness and a willingness to help others at the drop of a hat.

I gather that you have each and every one of those values and that you acquired them only after moving to North Idaho.

So let me guess — not one of the 39 million people in California have any of those values.

I also am from California and have lived in Coeur d’Alene for 15 years. I like to think that I also have traditional values and guess what? I arrived with them.

Give me a break!
