BLUE: Here's my splash

| June 14, 2017 1:00 AM

Thanks to Bev Moss and her “My Turn” column highlighting the “Splash of Blue” campaign by Friends of The Spokane River Corridor group. Raising public awareness of our water is the first step in proper planning to preserve public access to our beautiful water features. I’m a strong supporter preserving extensive public water access — including a bike trail — at the two former CDA millsites on the Spokane River. Most cities would love to have this “blank slate” opportunity for water access. I hope the City will do everything in its power to preserve public access and riverfront parkland.

I get my “Splash of Blue” every time I bicycle along the levee at NIC and on up to the Kroc Center. I hope others will take the time to share their “Splash of Blue” story about how access to our water affects their lives here in CDA.
