TRANSIT: Regan is right

| June 11, 2017 1:00 AM

Obviously, Catherine Matheson speaks ignorantly on the facts surrounding the development of the Riverstone Mass Transit Hub and an honorable man, gracious enough to serve our county. Her letter on Wednesday said nothing about the expense, construction and crime statistics that would affect the Riverstone area, only rhetoric through a malicious spew of the words. The people of Coeur d’Alene have a right to be made aware and question the Kootenai County Transit Administrators on their proposal.

There are questions on the matching funds of $336,272 coming from the taxpayers for this hub and the $200,000 on a fare collection system with the raising of Citylink fares. Who are you speaking for? Where is your involvement in our community Ms. Matheson, and what do you really know? After reading your disgruntled article, it was clear, your understandings of the facts are completely wrong! I suggest you do your homework first on important matters before you feel compelled to write slanderous nonsense and unqualified statements about a trusted and respected resident. We are grateful for caring individuals, like Brent, who are involved and safeguard the interests of our community, preforming the investigative research necessary to circumvent what could be detrimental to all of the taxpaying citizens and businesses. Your letter said nothing but garbage. You should be ashamed!

We are thankful to Brent’s outstanding community involvement with integrity and forthrightness for the people of Kootenai County on all public issues affecting We the People!
