RATHDRUM: Our kind of town

We had our vintage Olds out for a test drive when the battery gave out at the intersection right in front of Amulet Manufacturing in Rathdrum. Before I could get to the entrance of Amulet to see if anyone had a set of jumper cables, a young woman on her way to work and a Rathdrum police officer had stopped.

I’d like to give a huge thank you to Jesse from Amulet who had a jump starter, Brittany who was on her way to work at Home Depot and had a new battery in her van, and Sgt. Mark Sherman who had cables. Between them we got the old relic started. We got home without further incident with Sgt. Sherman following us just in case.

Rathdrum has some pretty special folks. Thank you all for the help, the good humor and the neighborliness!
