CITYLINK: Wrong targets, Brent

| June 7, 2017 1:00 AM

Brent Regan thinks a 2,500-square-foot building is a Taj Mahal? Really? Also, it was reported several times in the paper that there will be no connection with Spokane so why does he keep bringing it up? I think that he knows he doesn’t really represent anyone but the Republican Central Committee and is trying to scare people.

How did he get into power anyway? My guess is that since he can’t run for office himself, he funnels money through a self-funded political PAC and buys power and favors from the people he gets elected. Furthermore, I am guessing that he is waging this personal war because the new commissioners won’t do what he tells them to do. Good for them. He doesn’t represent the conservatives I know. Is he trying to get Democrats elected? He could be pretty effective at that.

He is a great example of conservatism perverted for political gain and gives us all a black eye. Also, the fact that he “investigated” someone who wrote an opinion contrary to his is creepy. Is this designed to intimidate people who disagree and make them afraid to write in to the paper?
