Cd'A woman dies in crash near N. Fork of Cd'A River

A 23-year-old Coeur d’Alene woman died Saturday when the SUV she was riding in went over an embankment along a road in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest near the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River.
Rebecca J. Zwiers was pronounced dead at the crash scene at milepost 2 on Forest Service Road 209.
The driver of the vehicle, a 2004 GMC Envoy, was Duane A. Zwiers, 27, of Coeur d’Alene.
Idaho State Police report the crash occurred around 7 p.m. when the vehicle failed to negotiate a left curve, went over a roughly 20-foot embankment and struck a tree.
The driver and the passenger were wearing seatbelts.
ISP is investigating.
