ART: Blame The Press

| July 30, 2017 1:00 AM

In response to the controversy surrounding The Press decision to make blasphemy front-page news, I would like to submit the following scriptural excerpt depicting God speaking to the devil: “I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed; she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.” (Genesis 3.15).

Perhaps the greatest controversy in all this is the decision by The Press to adamantly defend the enemies of the Cross of Christ (those working undercover, perhaps unwittingly, as purveyors of free speech in the form of blasphemous art). “Hate speech” presented and protected, however, in this manner, of course will never prevail. God is not mocked. Mr. Riccardo, Mr. Patrick, Blair, and all those believing hate speech (art it is not) must be protected; all hope for you is not lost, however. Catholics the world over unite in prayer for you and all those of you who are like-minded.
