Jennifer Bender, 45

Jennifer was born in Spokane, Wash., on May 1, 1972, to Tom and Peggy Bender. She died suddenly on July 20, 2017, while at work. She grew up in Post Falls later moving to Spokane Valley.

She spent most of her adult years in Everett, Wash. For the last 13 years, she was employed at Boeing in Everett. She has two children, Brandon Neal and Hayley Neal Ritter of Spokane Valley; and her two cherished grandsons, Bentley and Thomas.

Jennifer was artistic, compassionate, caring and loving. She loved hiking, fishing, gardening, butterflies and anything she could DIY. She was generous almost to a fault. If someone needed help with anything, they only needed to ask once and she was there. She never used the term step parent, to her Tim was her dad and Joan her mother.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Floral Bender, Wilho Rainio, Maxine Rainio St. Amand and Rex St. Amand. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Joan Bender, and Peggy and Tim Timmins; her sister, Dawn Fair (Jeremy); her children and grandchildren; and the love of her life, Steve Stewart of Everett. She is also survived by her stepbrothers, John Baldwin (Dawn) and Jeff Baldwin; and too many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews to mention.

A service has already taken place in Everett. She was so proud of her dad for his part in getting the Potlatch, Idaho, food bank started.

To honor her generous spirit of giving, please donate to your local food bank.
