STORE: To the rescue

| July 26, 2017 1:00 AM

I would like to thank the staff at the Albertson’s store on Ironwood, particularly Geoff H., who was the store manager on the afternoon of Saturday, July 22, and Donna, who was supervising the self-serve checkout stations.

I am on medication that raises my core temperature. I had been warned by my doctor not to walk outside except at night or early in the morning. Foolishly, I went to Albertsons anyway in the afternoon. On the way there, my feet and ankles started tingling like the circulation was being cut off. By the time I was at Albertsons I had to hold onto the shelving to keep from falling. Waiting for a register to open, I collapsed. Geoff brought me a chair and when I explained my heat problem, a bottle of water. He stayed with me, refilling the water twice. By this time I was feeling better enough that I thought I could walk home. I mentioned that when I got there I would drink an electrolyte drink. He brought me a liter, and even, thoughtfully. gave me a choice of flavor. As I paid and got ready to leave, Geoff asked me my route and said to call as soon as I got home, otherwise he would come to look if I had passed out on the way home. Donna also asked me to be sure to call.

I’ve shopped there for 25 years and have always been treated with respect and courtesy. Geoff went over and above the necessities of business. I can only praise him for exceptional kindness.
